Our Three Enduring Committments

Revealing the Past: Reviving Hidden Histories

We bring to light the extraordinary stories and contributions that history has overlooked, ensuring every legacy finds its rightful place in our shared memory thus providing a foundation of identity and pride.

Empowering The Present: Building Bridges of Opportunity

We equip people to author their future. We translate inspiration into action by creating pathways—through scholarships, education, skill-building, and networks—that lead to personal and professional empowerment.

Authoring the Future: Using the most transformative tools of all, our voices and pens

We foster creativity through the written word, creating a space where expression becomes an act of both healing and liberation.

Our Projects

Revealing The Past: Revive Hidden Histories

We bring to light the extraordinary stories and contributions that history has overlooked, ensuring every legacy finds its rightful place in our share memory, thus providing a foundation of identity and pride.

This project was born from a recent visit to Greenwood in Oklahoma and a recokoning with the story of the Tulsa Massacre. Thee, we learned a devastating truth: Greenwood was not an isolated tragedy, but one of countless erased histories of Black prosperity and reacial violence across America.

The Lost Cities Archive is our response - a dedicated, heartfelt mission to unearth, memorialize and document these buried narratives of Black resilience, and to amplify the enduring consequences of racial violence. This work is not just research; it is remembrance, restoration, and responsibility.

The Prose and Promise Project

Every person carries a story worth telling. Our Storytelling Project  is a series of guided writing workshops where inner city kids unlock the transformative power of their own narratives. In a supportive and inspiring space, participants are guided from the first blank page to a final, published piece.  We believe the act of writing is an act of discovery, and the act of publishing is an act of claiming one's place in the world. This project makes authors out of our children, proving that every voice even the very young matters.

Fuel for Focus Project

An empty stomach has no place in a classroom. Statistics show that hunger directly leads to poor concentration, behavioral disruptions, and lost learning potential. For many low-income children in our communities, the school lunch may be their only reliable, nutritious meal of the day.Our "Fuel for Focus" Lunch Sponsorship Project directly tackles this barrier to education.   We are aiming to provide lunch for five qualiying students over the next school year.

The Building Bridges Project

We believe in two of the most powerful engines of change: education and economic opportunity. That’s why our work is dedicated to opening doors for the next generation of leaders and empowering women ready to transform their lives.

For College-Bound Students - We provide scholarships

For Women Transitioning to Work - We offer tailored resources from résumé workshops and interview coaching to professional mentorship and career navigation so they can step into the workforce with confidence, skills, and a network of support.
