Our Projects
Revealing The Past: Revive Hidden Histories
We bring to light the extraordinary stories and contributions that history has overlooked, ensuring every legacy finds its rightful place in our share memory, thus providing a foundation of identity and pride.
This project was born from a recent visit to Greenwood in Oklahoma and a recokoning with the story of the Tulsa Massacre. Thee, we learned a devastating truth: Greenwood was not an isolated tragedy, but one of countless erased histories of Black prosperity and reacial violence across America.
The Lost Cities Archive is our response - a dedicated, heartfelt mission to unearth, memorialize and document these buried narratives of Black resilience, and to amplify the enduring consequences of racial violence. This work is not just research; it is remembrance, restoration, and responsibility.
Every person carries a story worth telling. Our Storytelling Project is a series of guided writing workshops where inner city kids unlock the transformative power of their own narratives. In a supportive and inspiring space, participants are guided from the first blank page to a final, published piece. We believe the act of writing is an act of discovery, and the act of publishing is an act of claiming one's place in the world. This project makes authors out of our children, proving that every voice even the very young matters.
An empty stomach has no place in a classroom. Statistics show that hunger directly leads to poor concentration, behavioral disruptions, and lost learning potential. For many low-income children in our communities, the school lunch may be their only reliable, nutritious meal of the day.Our "Fuel for Focus" Lunch Sponsorship Project directly tackles this barrier to education. We are aiming to provide lunch for five qualiying students over the next school year.
We believe in two of the most powerful engines of change: education and economic opportunity. That’s why our work is dedicated to opening doors for the next generation of leaders and empowering women ready to transform their lives.
